Professional Qualifications

It may also be of interest to note that I have completed "The Daring Way"™ on line training which is based on the research of Dr Brené Brown and helps to bring about change, by focusing on a person's experiences. During the process topics such as vulnerability, courage, shame and worthiness are explored. A person's thoughts, emotions and behaviours that may be holding them back are examined with a view to identifying new choices and practices that can help a person move towards a more authentic and wholehearted way of living. The main aim is to focus on developing shame resilience skills and a daily practice that transforms the way a person lives, loves, parents and leads. Prior to working as a counsellor and psychotherapist I worked in the NHS for 15 years and gained a nursing BA (Hons) degree during such time.
